THE HEALING PROCESSES OF THE HEART
In my book, A Clear Path to Healing, Chapter 10 is The Healing Processes of the Heart. This is a very special chapter in the book. It was one of those writing experiences where it just flowed out of me in one sitting with no outline and no plan…and when I sent the final book to the editor, she said that it did not have one spelling mistake or grammatical error. Truly inspired from the Heart!
Here is a summary of that chapter. These are the 7 processes everyone experiences through the healing and growth process.
- Awareness – The more aware you are, and the more keen this awareness, the more adaptable you will become and those things that once caused you grief, are now merely an itch. Check out this link to learn a simple, yet powerful awareness exercise called the Present Moment Awareness Technique (PMA).
- Acknowledgment – Acknowledgment allows you to recognize the awesome being that you are. By acknowledging every aspect of yourself, including the parts that cause you grief, can you then become whole.
- Acceptance – By accepting any situation with an attitude of “what is…is,” much of the anxiety and apprehension will dissipate and be replaced with peace and calm.
- Appreciation – When you come to appreciate everything the body does, everything that comes to mind and everything you feel, no matter how strange, uncomfortable or frightening, your disease or condition is no longer seen as such, but instead witnessed as a blessing in disguise…a sheep in wolves’ clothing.
- Affirmation – In this stage of healing, the universe begins to speak to you through life. You find that you no longer speak of lack or detriment, but instead spread only words of wisdom, healing and truth. You have freed yourself from the prison of false beliefs, denial and doubt, and have become one of the few who sees through rose-colored glasses and always has a cup that is half-full, rather than half-empty.
- Atonement – Atonement or At-One-Ment is the process by which you realize that we all experience challenges in life. Each of us live each day with the same struggles and adversity that this physical existence offers. This eliminates the need for forgiveness, for in this state no one is the culprit…nor the victim.
- Awe – When you are in Awe, everything you see, hear and touch around you fills you with wonder and amazement, yet you are never surprised at what you experience. Because of your awareness and understanding of how the universe operates and how you and everyone else is an integral part of it, your heart soars with what can only be called glee.
